Whether you enjoy water or not, drinking enough is vital for energy, mental clarity, and overall wellbeing. I cover the Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE) scale, the importance of differentiating between fatigue-induced discomfort and actual pain, and highlight the example of gymnast Simone Biles prioritizing health over performance. I clarify that while severe injuries requiring hospitalization are exceptions, minor injuries like sprains or broken limbs shouldn't halt your fitness journey. We discuss adaptive athletes' inspiring example and share practical advice on pivoting your workout focus during recovery. I also recount a client's experience with ankle injury and how we used it as a chance to build upper body strength. If you're not a fitness professional, I suggest seeking expert guidance to help map out a modified training plan. I also cover essential aspects of nutrition, such as macronutrient balance, the benefits of carbs before workouts, and the importance of protein for muscle recovery.
